With summer gone and cooler months ahead here is a recipe that will help to warm those cooler nights.
Ingredients:
1 pound of round steak or extra lean stew meat - all fat removed.
2 pounds of extra lean ground beef
1 large green bell pepper
1 large red bell pepper
1 large onion
Two Alarm Chili seasoning mix
1 can Rotel tomatoes
2 cans tomato sauce
2 cans of water
Brown all meat after trimming fat with the bell peppers and onions. When done drain all fat through strainer and rinse meat in hot water to remove excess fat. Combine meat and Two Alarm Chili mix by following directions on package. Add Rotel tomatoes, tomato sauce and water. Let simmer on low heat 30 minutes. Serve over brown rice.
