The famous arch in Cabo San Lucas.
La Paz, which means”peace” in Spanish, lives up to its name. It’s a laid back town with a palm tree lined boardwalk. Here you’ll find bars, restaurants and it’s a good place to people watch. San Jose del Cabo looks more like an authentic Mexican village. The town centers around a plaza with a church and a bandstand as its main attractions. Bird lovers will find an estuary with hundreds of species nearby. If you’re looking for nightlife, great shopping and restaurants, then Cabo San Lucas is the place you need to visit. There are many all-inclusive hotels located along the coast offering all the food and drink you can consume. You’ll find great beaches as well as rocky coastline to explore. Regardless of what town you chose to visit, you’ll find activities that will please a wide variety of people. Some of these include great sports fishing for marlin. From January through March, whales congregate offshore. The area is known as Latin America’s premier golf destination, and hosts tournaments such as the PGA Senior Grand Slam. And of course, there’s always wonderful restaurants offering Mexican cuisine and fresh seafood. The region is a great place for a long weekend getaway whether it’s a family trip, girls getaway or a couples retreat. There are several nonstop flights from Houston daily. Or another option to visit Cabo San Lucas is to take a Mexican Riviera cruise from either San Diego or Lon Beach. The town is one of the ports on their itinerary. |
